Parineeti Chopra OPENS up on her bond with Arjun Kapoor, says, 'Nobody can dare say anything against him around me'

They say your first co-star is always special. This holds true for the jodi of Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra. The two began their careers with Yash Raj's Ishaqzaade and have been friends since then. While they may not be constantly in touch, they have an unbreakable bond. In an interview to Bombay Times, Parineeti Chopra said, "Arjun was my first friend in the industry. During the making of Ishaqzaade, I went through a very vulnerable time, and he was going through something very big in his personal life, too."

The two have worked together in Namaste England (2018) as well. Due to their work schedules, they do not get to spend too much time with one another. But the bond is intact. Parineeti told the paper, "We probably may not end up speaking to each other for three months, and then, I'll call him one day, and we just start from where we left. It really shows that nothing has changed between us. We've done three different films together, and our friendship has only grown. We, too, have grown up as people. I think he's grown up a lot, and I've grown up, too, at least, he tells me that all the time."

She says the Tevar actor has seen her growth in the industry. Parineeti Chopra, says, "Arjun has actually seen me as the child that I was back then. So, he will always be special, and I am very protective of him. Nobody can dare say anything against him around me. There is absolutely no formality between us. I don't talk to him like a co-star, I talk to him like a friend and so does he. He can easily come and say, ' Yeh mat karo tum, yeh bakwaas hai', and I can do the same with him. We can have arguments, and we can say anything to each other, and that's what real friendship is all about."
