Sushant Singh Rajput case: After finding no big transaction to Rhea Chakraborty's account, ED now examining withdrawals of Rs. 55 lakh over 1 year

With each passing day, the mystery behind the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput is getting darker. However, ED and other investigating officials are trying their best to uncover the truth behind the tragic demise of the Chhichhore actor. His family, his colleagues and wellwishers are rooting for a CBI Enquiry. An FIR had been registered by Sushant's family against Rhea Chakraborty and others in the alleged money laundering case and abetment to suicide. ED had been investigating the same and has grilled the actress and her brother, Showik for three days now. Neither the actor and nor her brother has been able to give proper answers to ED on the mismatch income over the last financial year. However, it has now confirmed that no direct and heavy transactions were found from Sushant Singh Rajput's account to Rhea's account. The source familiar with the case told Indian Express that no substantial transfer had taken place from the actor's account.

However, there is a case of withdrawal of Rs 55 lakhs that had been taken out from Sushant's primary account in Kotak bank. The sources told Indian Express that the agency is tacking into these transactions. Further, the bank statement said that Sushant had about Rs 15 crore in his account at the beginning of the last financial year that he used for tax and travel-related payments. Rhea is not a joint account holder in any of Sushant's account. However, there are instances of mismatched income in Rhea's account for which the ED has asked her to submit the records of her income. Sushant had helped Rhea and her brother set up two firms, Front India For World Foundation and Vividrage Rhealityx Private Limited. Rhea and her brother are directors in both the firms. Meanwhile, ED is also looking into the purchase of the two properties by Rhea and her family.

Apart from Rhea and her brother Showik, ED has also interrogated Rhea's business manager Shruti Modi, Sushant's manager/ friend Siddharth Pithani, his house manager Samuel Miranda and CA's of both Sushant and Rhea.
