Akshay Kumar is celebrating his 53rdd birthday today. The actor is celebrating his birthday this year with his gorgeous wife Twinkle Khanna, kids Aarav and Nitara, in London. The Bollywood made his debut with 1991 film Saugandh. It was Khiladi (1992) that made him the Khiladi Kumar of Bollywood he is known as today. The years after that saw Akshay explore his action side, performing daredevil stunts and high-octane scenes. Based on India's historic Mars Orbiter Mission, the film shattered box-office records held by other movies and those of Akki too. The Jagan Shakti-directorial features him as an ISRO scientist Rakesh Dhawan who comes with a great sense of humour. 2. Padman
Pad Man is special for several reasons, foremost being Akshay Kumar brings forth the real-life story of Arunachalam Muruganantham, the inventor of a low-cost sanitary pad-making machine. Co-starring Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Radhika Apte, the movie shows Akshay as the caring husband who goes out of his way to give his wife a healthy and hygienic life.
3. Toilet: Ek Prem Katha

The movie stars them both as BFFs Jignesh and Nikhil, respectively, who are forced to work as strippers due to financial recession. Jignesh aka Jiggy's hilarious quirks throughout the movie make you wish you had a best friend like him!
5. Rustom
Akshay Kumar plays the titular honourable navy officer, in Rustom, who leads a happy life with his wife, Cynthia. His world turns upside down when he finds out about his close friend, Vikram, and Cynthia's affair. Rustom is later tried for Vikram's murder in court. Will Rustom be able to prove his innocence? The film is loosely based on the real-life incident of Naval Officer K. M. Nanavati and businessman Prem Ahuja.
6. Housefull
Houseful is the story of Aarush, a loser jinxed with bad luck. He falls in love with Sandy, who turns out to be his ex-girlfriend's younger sister. As Aarush, Akshay Kumar doles out lessons on friendship, romance and sure teaches you a thing or two about luck.
7. Dhadkan
Dhadkan is a 2000 Hindi romantic drama film starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Shilpa Shetty. Not only did the movie cement Akshay and Shilpa's pairing as a box-office hit jodi but also doled out #HusbandGoals, #SonGoals.
8. Aitraaz
