Jayeshbhai Jordaar: Ranveer Singh starts dubbing for the comic caper set in Gujarat

Ranveer Singh is one powerhouse performer on screen. He easily slips into every character/film that he takes up and never fails to charm the audience with his acting chops. The actor was gearing up for his next, 83, a sport-based biographical drama film narrating the events of India's historic World Cup win at the Lord's stadium in 1983. Next, he had a cameo appearance lined up in Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif starrer Sooryavanshi. He was supposed to begin dubbing for his comic caper, Jayeshbhai Jordaar soon after the release of 83 but the pandemic spoilt every plan. However, as per the latest reports, the actor has resumed working and was recently spotted at a dubbing studio. Reportedly, Ranveer Singh has begun dubbing for Jayeshbhai Jordaar.

"Ranveer is starting to dub for the film and that's why he was at YRF. His work schedule is back to normal and he is absolutely fine to shoot and work in the pandemic because it is the new normal now. He realizes that the industry has to restart for business to be back as usual and as a superstar, he will be extremely proactive to contribute towards normalizing the industry that has been hit hard by the pandemic," a source said, quoted Hindustan Times.

In these uncertain times, a lot of makers are moving to digital platforms for the release of their film. But the source asserted that it would not be the case with Jayeshbhai Jordaar. "Jayeshbhai Jordaar is going to release in theatres, no doubt about that. So, the makers are keeping the film ready to release. They will assess the best time to release the film, given the pandemic and make further plans to market and release this really special film. Ranveer will wrap his entire dubbing work on Jayeshbhai now," the source revealed, as reported the portal.

Earlier, in his interview, producer Maneesh Sharma had heaped praises for the Simba actor saying, "Ranveer has given his 200% for the film and it will show when people see the movie. I will stick my neck out to say that Ranveer has delivered his career-best performance with Jayeshbhai Jordaar." Talking about the film, Jayeshbhai Jordaar is directed by debutante director Divyang Thakkar. It also stars Shalini Pandey, Boman Irani and Ratna Pathak Shah to name a few.
