Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2's Parth Samthaan to make his Bollywood debut with Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi?

Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2's Parth Samthaan has been in the news for quite some time now. He was one of the first actors to resume shooting after unlock 1.0. After shooting for a couple of days, the actor was diagnosed with COVID-19 symptoms and had been home quarantined. The actor returned to shoot but there was a buzz that he was not keen to get back on the show. Later, reports surfaced that he is very much a part of the show. And now, as per recent reports, Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2will go off-air on October 3rd.

Reportedly, the actor wanted to focus on other projects and his Bollywood debut. And if the latest reports are to be believed, Parth Samthaan has bagged Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi that features Alia Bhatt in the lead role. Yes, you read that right. Television's handsome hunk will make his silver screen debut opposite Alia in the film. A source close to the development told Spotboye, "Parth has signed his first Bollywood project opposite Alia Bhatt in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi. Parth is extremely excited about his filmy debut with the big banner." Now, isn't that exciting?

Talking about the film, Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi is based on Mafia Queens of Mumbai, which is written by journalist Hussain Zaidi. Gangubai Kothewali was the owner of a brothel in Kamathipura (Mumbai area) and a powerful woman in the 60s. Apart from Alia and now Parth, Gangubai Kathiawadi is said to feature Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Vijay Raaz, Seema Bhargava to name a few. It was earlier reported that Shantanu Maheshwari will play the role of Ramnik Lal in the period drama. Bharat actress Katrina Kaif is likely to do a special dance number in the film. It would be interesting to see what role Parth essays in the film.
