Sanjay Dutt resumes shooting for Shamshera before heading for his next leg of treatment

Sanjay Dutt grabbed headlines recently when he was diagnosed with lung cancer. His fans were devastated by the news. However, the Khalnayak is doing much better averse to the reports of the deteriorating health reports that have been surfacing ever since the news of him being detected with lung cancer surfaced. The actor has been undergoing preliminary treatment in Mumbai and would soon head to the US for further treatment. He has procured the visa for the same. Baba is back in action as he recently resumed shooting for Shamshera. A source close to the development of the same told ETimes, "Sanjay Dutt is back to shooting for 'Shamshera'. He will be shooting for two days, after which he will go in for the next leg his treatment." The actor completed his chemotherapy treatment over the weekend and quickly reported to the sets.

Sanjay Dutt was spotted by the paparazzi outside Mumbai studios. The actor happily waved at the paps and even smiled. He genuinely looked better. Have a look at the actor's pictures here:

After the detection of lung cancer, the Sadak 2 actor's wife Maanayata had released an official statement thanking all the fans for their love and wishes. "There is a lot that the family has gone through in the past years but I am confident, this too shall pass. Sanju has always been a fighter, and so has our family. God has yet again chosen to test us to overcome the challenges ahead. All we seek is your prayers and blessings, and we know we will emerge as winners on the other side, as we always have. Let us use this opportunity to spread light and positivity," read her statement.

Talking about the film, Shamshera is an upcoming action-adventure starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vani Kapoor in lead roles. The film is written and directed by Karan Malhotra and is set in the 1800s the film is about a dacoit tribe who took charge in the fight for their rights and independence against the British. Ranbir is said to play a double role in the movie.
