BIgil: Karan Johar heaps praise on Thalapathy Vijay starrer

Thalapathy Vijay's Bigil is getting appreciation from all around the corners. The mega-budget sports drama, which has again turned out to be a festive treat for all the cine-goers has also impressed the ace filmmaker of Bollywood - Karan Johar. The 47-year-old director recently saw the Tamil biggie and was praises for Thalapathy Vijay and Atlee. He wrote on Twitter, "What an absolute festive joy #BIGIL is!!A roller coaster of emotions, triumph and an unparalleled adrenalin rush! #ThalapathyVijay is in top form and makes you want to whistle along! He is BRILLIANT! @Atlee_dir goes on to prove he is the master of This game!! SUPERSTAR DIRECTOR."

Interestingly, Atlee is all set to make his Bollywood debut with megastar Shah Rukh Khan and we can get the official announcement of this on Shah Rukh Khan's birthday, which is November 2. Coming to Bigil, the film has already crossed the Rs 150 crore mark and is now heading towards the Rs 200 crore club at the global box office. Produced under the banner of AGS Entertainment, it also stars Nayanthara, Vivek, Jackie Shroff, Kathir and Yogi Babu in key roles.

Talking about Karan Johar, he will soon start the shooting of his upcoming period drama Takht, which boasts the ensemble cast of Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Janhvi Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar. "Takht" reportedly traces the relationship between Mughal emperor Aurangzeb and his brother Dara Shukoh, with Ranveer playing the former while Vicky will play Aurangzeb.
