Indian Idol: 'I’m sure the guy didn’t mean it in an inappropriate way,' Aditya Narayan reacts to Neha Kakkar being forcibly kissed

The 11th season of Indian Idol 11, hosted by Aditya Narayan, was enjoying a smooth run on television until recently. Things went topsy-turvy when a contestant forcibly kissed Neha Kakkar, who is the co-judge of this singing reality show. The contestant arrived on the stage and asked Neha if she could recognise him. Although she couldn't recognise the guy, Kakkar went ahead and gave him a hug, however, the contestant got carried away. He kissed her and Aditya was quick to push him away from the singer. This incident left Neha in shock and her co-judges, Vishal Dadlani and Anu Malik, had a similar reaction. Vishal reacted strongly to the incident and revealed that he suggested to call the police but Neha let the guy off the hook.

After judge Vishal, host Aditya has responded to this incident. In an interview with Times Of India, the Tattad Tattad singer mentioned that he tried to safeguard Neha, however, what happened next, was not in his hands. Narayan revealed that the guy had a tattoo of Neha Kakkar on his arms and he must have an immense love for the judge.

"You can't really foresee these things. It's not a normal thing. Judges have come on stage a thousand times. I am sure he didn't mean it in an inappropriate way. I understand what it is to have fans who are obsessed. I know this man has a tattoo of Neha on his hands. So in some way, this man must have immense love for her. You kind of feel for them as well. But you need to make them aware of where to draw the line," said Aditya.

The 32-year-old further mentioned, "Thankfully, there was nothing more than a peck on the cheek else I am sure there would have been dire consequences. I would say he is lucky on that matter. And Neha being a kind woman, I think even she didn't take it in an inappropriate way. But of course, we will be careful. Neha is not just important to our show, she is one of the leading female singers of our country. Any women, we have to be careful about everything and anything."
