Good Newwz box office collection day 2: Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer earns Rs. 39.34 crore

Raj Mehta's directorial debut, Good Newwz, ends 2019 on a fantastic note. The movie featuring Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh has managed to trigger many laughs only because of the powerful writing and the perfect comic timing of the star cast. Good Newwz lived up to its title and was off to a flying start at the box office on day 1. It raked in Rs. 17.56 crore and Diljit Dosanjh got the biggest Bollywood opener of all time with this film. While the movie had a tremendous start at the box office, Good Newwz continues its winning streak on day 2. The official box office figures are out and Good Newwz has collected Rs. 21.78 crore. The total BO collection of the film now stands at Rs. 39. 34 crore. Goes without saying, the Akshay Kumar starrer will surely score half-century over the weekend.

Trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, shared the official day 2 box office figures of Good Newwz on his Twitter handle. He tweeted, "#GoodNewwz lives up to its title... In a 3.5 star review of Good Newwz, our critic mentioned, "The highlight of the film is in the writing. Jyoti Kapoor, Raj Mehta and Rishabh Sharma have done a fab job with the screenplay and dialogues. The first half is a rib-tickling one. You will not have a single full moment. The reference to the Delhi Noida Corporation is a hoot. Coming to the performances, Diljit Dosanjh is the shining star of the film. He makes you whistle with the comic lines and is a natural in the emotional scenes. Kareena Kapoor Khan looks fabulous and puts in a solid performance. Kiara Advani is perfect as the innocent Monika who believes that even a sperm mix up is a sign of good things from Mata Rani."
