Throwback Thursday: THIS old pic of birthday star Rajinikanth along with Salman Khan and Sridevi is every cinema lover's favourite frame

The megastar of Kollywood, Rajinikanth, who is fondly called as Thalaivar by his fans has turned 69 today. Born as Shivaji Rao Gaekwad, the actor has predominantly worked in Bollywood, Kollywood and Kannada films and has acted in more than 180 films in his career of around 45 years. On his special day, we have a special treat for you as we share a throwback pic of Thalaivar Rajinikanth, where the swag star is sitting along with Salman Khan and legendary actress late Sridevi and we bet you that this image is definitely one of the most favourite frames of the cinema lovers.

While Rajinikanth and Sridevi had shared screen space earlier with films like Chaalbaaz, Dharma Yuddham, Bhagwan Dada, Farishtay and many more, Salman Khan recently revealed the Hindi motion poster of his upcoming biggie Darbar. The multilingual film, which will release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi, will see Rajinikanth as an IPS officer. The actor has played the character of a cop earlier in films like Hum, Geraftaar, Moondru Mugam and Pandiyan. It is directed by Holiday, Ghajini and Sarkar (Tamil) helmer AR Murugadoss and features lady superstar Nayanthara opposite Rajinikanth. After Chandramukhi and Kuselan, this is the third film where the two superstars are sharing the screen space.

The film also stars Dalip Tahil, Suniel Shetty, Chemban Vinod and Prateik Babbar in key roles. Darbar is bankrolled by Lyca Productions, who previously produced Rajinikanth's last blockbuster 2.0. Ace lensman Santosh Sivan has cranked the camera for Darbar, while Anirudh Ravichander has composed the album. The editing of the film is done by Sreekar Prasad. It is set to hit the screens during festive weekend of Pongal in 2020 and will lock horns with Vishal's untitled venture and Prabhudheva's Pon Manickavel at the ticket windows.
