Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announce that they are 'stepping back' as the senior Royals
A couple of hours ago, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex took to their social handle and made an announcement that shocked the whole world. Well, to tell you the truth, this sudden move was quite expected to happen in the future but not just so soon. In case you are new here, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they were stepping back as the 'senior' members of the Royal family.
The Duke and Duchess took to their social handles and released a statement that read as follows, "After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year is starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution. We intend to step back as 'senior' members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen. It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment."
They further mentioned that they want to balance time between the UK and North America. And want to focus on raising their little prince while keeping him traditionally inclined as well as have a financially independent status. "We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages. This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity. We look forward to sharing the full details of this exciting next step in due course, as we continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties. As soon as the announcement was made, a news report flashed which said, "None of the other members of the royal family were made aware of the contents of Harry and Meghan's statement before it was released." It is being said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn't inform the Buckingham Palace or Prince William and Kate Middleton of their decision.
