Kareena Kapoor Khan opens up on being approached for a Rajkumar Hirani film opposite Shah Rukh Khan

Kareena Kapoor Khan is defying all the preconceived notions that a Bollywood actress's career ends the day she gets married or pregnant. The actress has been ruling the roost and continues to do so even when she has a toddler to look after. The doting mother to Taimur Ali Kha, who is a celebrity himself, has become picky in taking up scripts but that's because she has to manage time at home and professionally. Dabbling both personal and professional is never easy but there are many actresses who have proved this statement wrong and Kareena Kapoor Khan is one such diva.

Recently in an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Kareena opened up about the same notion. "There is nothing wrong with being a married actress and fortunately, a number of directors support this today. I got to work with Kabir Khan, R Balki, and so many other filmmakers after marriage. It's just a notion that Bollywood wants unmarried girls. Times have changed and actresses like Vidya Balan and Kangana Ranaut have broken the boundaries with their choice of films. They have done some outstanding roles." She told the daily.

A couple of days ago, the rumours of Kareena Kapoor Khan being approached for a Rajkumar Hirani film had surfaced. Reports said that she has been approached opposite Shah Rukh Khan for the same. Reacting to the same, the Laal Singh Chaddha actress said, " No, that's not true. I love and respect Shah Rukh immensely and would love to work with him again. But there's nothing happening at the moment."

Kareena Kapoor Khan is gearing up for Angrezi Medium which stars Irrfan and Radhika Madan in the lead. When asked about the atmosphere whilst working with Irrfan who had come up from an ailment, Kareena said, "He's extremely professional and a fantastic guy. He brings so much respectability to every character around him just by being in the frame. He was all there, looking great and acting amazingly well."
