Throwback Thursday: When birthday girl Narayani Shastri shocked everyone by revealing that she was married

Narayani Shastri has graced Indian TV with many memorable performances. The talented actress turns a year older today. Whether it was Kesar Kapadia from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhie Bahu Thi or Bhanvari Devi from Piya Rangrezz or the rustic Preeto Rani from the volatile Gandi Baat, Narayani Shastri has never ceased to amaze us with her histrionics. She has been equally candid about her personal life. The lady had relationships with Anuj Saxena and later with Gaurav Chopra. In fact, Chopra and her share a warm camaraderie till date. However, Narayani left everyone stumped when she announced that she was a married woman in March 2017.

She revealed that she got married to British national Steven Graver (Tony) in 2015 but did not announce her wedding in a big way. Tony works as a creative director and is fond of photography. BollywoodLife had caught up with the actress for a chat. She told us then, "I did not have a secret marriage or kept my marital status hidden. People close to me, my friends and everyone who matter knew that I was hitched. Yes, I did not go along telling every second person that I have tied the knot." She said that they wanted to keep it personal and not for public consumption.

Narayani Shastri also said that Tony had adapted well to life in India. She said, "Tony has been in India since eight years. He feels totally at home here. You know, it is the connection you develop with a place. He is more Indian than I am, and I am more British than he is. Our families get along very well. However, if he decides to move to the UK, I would happily pack my bags and go." Like Meghna Naidu, Aashka Goradia and Sreejita De, she is one of the actresses who has happily found love in a firang.
