Disha Vakani may best be remembered for her portrayal of Dayaben in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah but there's more to the actress. Of course, Dayaben rose her to fame like none other, but the actress is like a bag full of surprises. Her fanbase and her star power are so huge that despite being inactive for two years on the work front, the actress is still grabbing headlines. Recently, Disha grabbed headlines when pictures from her Bollywood movie, Jodhaa Akbar had surfaced. It was not such a blink-and-miss performance in Ashutosh Gowariker's period drama starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan.

That's not all, Disha Vakani was also a part of Shah Rukh Khan film. Yes, you read that right the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actress was a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas that also starred Ash and Madhuri Dixit. She played the role of Sakhi in the tragic-romance drama film. To refresh your memory, Devdas released in 2002. Disha began playing Dayaben since 2008 so that makes it 6 years before her Television stint. How cool is that?

Talking about missing from action, Disha took maternity leave in 2017. She gave birth to a daughter Stuti Padia and is busy being a doting mother to her little one. The actress made a short cameo appearance in the Navratri special episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Fans are dying to see the actress in her Dayaben avatar again. They cannot wait to hear her catchphrases and watch her cute antics with Jethalal.

Dilip Joshi who plays her on-screen husband Jethalal told BollywoodLife that he cannot see anyone else replacing Dayaben Disha in the show. "I think she owns this character. She has worked hard for 9 and a half years. Obviously! (no actress can replace)," he told us in an exclusive interview.
