Tulsi Kumar finally breaks her silence on Masakali 2.0; says, 'It was totally subjective' [Exclusive]

We recently had a wonderful, heartfelt, personal Insta live chat with one of the best singers in the country today Tulsi Kumar. From naming the actress who suits her voice the best and finally breaking her silence on being trolled for Masakali 2.0 to which songs challenge her as a singer and overcoming the negativity she had earlier received for being Gulshan Kumar's daughter and Bhushan Kumar's sister, eventually turning the hate into love this was an interview straight from the heart, and we were privileged to conduct it with her.

Watch her full interview below:

On being quizzed about the unprecedented backlash received for Masakali 2.0 (even from those who were originally a part of it) and why she sung the remix after having so many beautiful, original numbers to her credit, Tulsi Kumar revealed, "Firstly, I'm not the only singer in that song (Masakali 2.0). My male singer (Sachet Tandon) is also with me. Now, you have to understand that whatever work you do, whatever song you create, it's not possible that everyone will always like it, everybody has their personal choice. But just like with every song, we had put in a lot of effort to make this song, too. Of course, recreations are handled very sensitively because, after all, they are recreations of iconic songs.''

Highlighting why the negativity can't be dwelled upon, Tulsi stated, "So, without saying much, I'll just add that there are a lot of things you do in life. It's not conceivable though that everything you do will be liked by one and all. We gave it whatever we thought was our best. Beyond that, whether people like it or not, whatever they say or don't say, I tend to keep away from all that because I have done a lot in my career to prove that I can be a part of some great numbers and good songs. So, yeah... without hurting anyone, I would just mention that it's probably something that can be put down to people's likes and dislikes, and that's totally subjective of the audience's choice."

Elaborating on if she'll continue lending her voice to remixes, the versatile singer added, "I have always said that I am an artist and I am here to entertain my audience and whatever it takes to entertain them, I'll be a part of that."

So, what are your thoughts now that Tulsi Kumar herself has shared her reaction to the backlash against Masakali 2.0. Tweet and let us know @bollywood_life
