Sushant Singh Rajput case: Supreme Court lawyer Sarthak Nayak writes to Chief Justice of Bombay High Court for SIT

While fans are mourning the loss of Sushant Singh Rajput, they have also kept alive the demand for justice since close to two months now. They have been asking for a CBI Enquiry since day one. Now, police teams of Maharashtra and Bihar have got involved in the case. As per reports, this is quite a cumbersome affair. The Mumbai Police had been investigating the case where they have called close to 40 people for questioning. However, they did not file any FIR. On Sunday, late Sushant Singh Rajput's father KK Singh filed a case with the Patna Police Station. He has prepared an FIR of 16 pages where he has alleged that Rhea Chakraborty kept his son in wrongful confinement and did his treatment for mental health illness without informing him.

Now, Supreme Court lawyer Sarthak Nayak has sent a letter to the Bombay High Court requesting the Chief Justice to transfer the case to an independent enquiry presided over by a retired judge. He has said it is best that it is investigated by an independent team. Nayak said that it is tough when two police teams are involved and said the incident happened in Mumbai, so it is prudent that enquiry is set here. He said the fact that Mumbai cops did not explore the money angle before hints that they might be lenient towards Rhea Chakraborty. He said that the SIT should be set up right away so that evidences do not get tampered. Nayak is a litigation lawyer.

Rhea Chakraborty has hired one of the most expensive criminal lawyers in the country, Satish Maneshinde to represent her case. He has handled cases of Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan before. On the other hand, Sushant Singh Rajput's family lawyer is Vikas Singh who is a senior advocate with a great reputation. Minister Subramaniam Swamy who is also a lawyer is following the case as well.
