Sushant Singh Rajput suicide: The actor's family files caveat in Supreme Court after Rhea Chakraborty files petition to seek transfer of investigation

A day after Sushant Singh Rajput filed FIR against Rhea Chakraborty at Patna, the actress filed a petition in Supreme court seeking transfer of investigation to Mumbai police. And now SSR's family has filed a caveat in the apex court in order to not allow actress' petition heard in the court. As per the reports, the lawyer of SSR's family will be there for all the proceedings in the court.

Talking to PTI, lawyer Vikas Singh said, "If she (Rhea) has moved the apex court, she should have filed a petition seeking CBI investigation. FIR is registered in Patna, now she (Rhea) has filed a petition in Supreme Court seeking stay and transfer of investigation to Mumbai. Isse jyada kya proof chahiye ki (what more proof is needed that) somebody in Mumbai Police is helping her." Vikas also told Republic that Rhea herself said that let CBI investigate but she will go to Mumbai Police.

On Tuesday, a four-member police team arrived to Mumbai Patna to investigate and when they reached Rhea's residence, she was not there. Sanjay Singh, IG Central Range, Patna, told BT, "The team has gone there (Rhea's house) to conduct an inquiry and investigation." He further added, "We require so many things from the Mumbai Police. We will be requesting them to provide all those things along with other material evidence also, apart from the statement." Talking about allegations on Rhea, he said, "The allegation is a written part of the FIR. So, we will investigate the matter first."
